Time to see art in person again! Woodside Braseth Gallery in Seattle has included me in their annual spring show Dealer’s Choice. It’s always a treat to see new paintings by their contemporary artists hung alongside historical works by NW masters. The gallery is also currently showing Transcendence, a large selection of Morris Graves’ works. I learn art history every time I visit, and I really enjoy seeing the various techniques. This large and elegant gallery space allows the type of close, slow observation that I enjoy in museums, and that I have missed so much this last year. Along with the Morris Graves, I found the current selection of Paul Horiuchi’s collages really inspiring for my own work in color and shape interactions. My relationship with Woodside Braseth Gallery is new, and I’m currently working on several large oil paintings I hope to show there in the coming months. I’m thankful for their support.

Woodside Braseth Gallery is in a renovated historical building near the Harbor Steps, close to the Seattle Art Museum. 1201 Western Avenue, Seattle. 206-622-7243, info@woodsidebrasethgallery.com
