I’m excited to be showing a new body of work in January 2023 at Smith and Vallee Gallery in Edison, WA. It has been two years since I’ve had a solo show, and much has happened to us all in that time. My new work reflects all I’ve done to improve my skills as an artist and my qualities as a human being who seeks connection rather than division. The paintings range in size from handheld to large scale, from muted to bright. I worked with traditional oil painting techniques, unusual color palettes, visualizations after guided meditations and complex puzzling of shapes to create spatial depth. Sculptor Weston Lambert will be showing his colorful and energetic work alongside my paintings. It might be gray and cold outside in January, but I expect our work to provide us all with needed color.
